HEALTH & SAFETY GUIDELINE

These guidelines outline the health and safety standards that will guide Nails By Mateo services. Comfort, nail health, cleanliness, and thoughtful care are central to every service experience.

CLEANING & DISINFECTION

The service area and reusable tools will be cleaned and disinfected using appropriate products and according to applicable health and safety requirements. Processed equipment will be stored carefully to help prevent contamination.

SINGLE-USE ITEMS

Items that cannot be properly disinfected will be used for one person only and discarded after the service. Products and tools will be handled carefully throughout each future service.

CLIENT HEALTH

For safety, a future service may need to be modified, postponed, or declined if there are signs of an open wound, possible infection, significant inflammation, or another condition that could be aggravated by a nail service.

Nail professionals cannot diagnose or treat medical conditions. A client may be encouraged to consult a qualified healthcare professional before receiving a service.

ALLERGIES & SENSITIVITIES

Before any future service, clients will be asked to share known allergies, sensitivities, previous reactions, and relevant health concerns. This information will help guide product selection and possible service adjustments.

WHEN A SERVICE SHOULD BE POSTPONED

A future nail service should be postponed when a person is experiencing:

• An open cut or wound near the service area
• Signs of a possible nail or skin infection
• Significant redness, swelling, pain, or irritation
• A recent reaction to a nail product
• An illness that could affect others

A service may be considered after the condition has resolved or the person has received guidance from a qualified healthcare professional.

PLANNED APPROACH

The goal for future services is to provide a personal, comfortable, and carefully prepared experience while respecting each service comfort, natural nails, and well-being.
